It would be good to have the option of going directly to standard deduction, I knew that was what we wanted but had to do too many questions that did not apply.

I have been using the H&R block software for over 20 years. This is the 1st year I do not feel confident with it. I see too many differences from last year, along with huge changes in refunds/owe amounts it makes we wonder

When I finished my taxes you still have certain sections that its says its waiting on updates that is why I went back to Turbo Tax last year and may do the same next year. Makes you fill real confident that your taxes are ok. Everything should be fixed by 31 January every year.

I've used HR Block for decades and love it. I've had no issues until 2024. I ran into a bug in the Michigan software. I called support and the support person was helpful but needed to escalate the issue. I've haven't yet received a follow up and can't file my return as the form can't be overridden with the correction. I would have expected a much quicker response to a bug report.
