I have used H&R Block tax software for 5 years now. Used other software before that, but will never go back. Will only use H&R Block. Software is complete and provides great instructions and the help function is wonderful.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Uploading 1099-nnn type documents is not a feature even though I could upload a W-2. Very manually intensive vs TurboTax. Not the prettiest user interface. TurboTax calculated a different tax due amount - wasn't sure which to trust.
It did the job, the price was more reasonable compared to TurboTax.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

overall the software made taxes straightforward however there was an issue with desiganting options on my refund. Manually I could have some deposited to my bank account however I could not get the software to crdit a portion of the return to next year's taxes.I reported it but never got a reply.

Overall excellent - two exceptions - I tried to import the 1099-B from Moomoo Financial and Axos Clearing LLC and neither were in the list. I had to manually enter the information. Next year I will be considering transitioning my tax information to Turbo Tax as they can import both.
