I have used H&R Block's software for a long time. Like the interface and the ease of use. Only problem I had this year was my IRS IP Pin number wasn't what I thought it was. The software informed me that the pin wasn't accepted but did not tell me how to rectify it. I had to google it and go to the IRS website and search for the answer there. I was directed to ID my self and sign in to my account to recover this vital number, it would have been helpful if the soft ware could have told me how to do this.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

Please make it so I can import 1099 investment/dividend/interest data from Webull. It is not listed in the Financial Institutions list, and a backdoor method through Apex Clearing Corp did not work. I will have to go with TurboTax next year if this isn’t fixed.

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Works as well as any other tax preparation program I have used in the past, however, it is a little convoluted with Holder tax records as it requires you to have the program installed in which it was saved. If you’ve deleted it, you have to pay to download it again, I don’t think that’s fair.

Unfortunately, my filing with IRS did not go through, even though I checked the boxes that this was a joint filing, and I was a surviving spouse. Apparently, from the letter I received from IRS, what was filed was insufficient for them to process my refund. I had to indicate in a letter they sent the date of my wife's passing and I added a copy of the death certificate. Clearly H & R instructions are insufficient if one expects the filing of a surviving spouse will be processed by IRS without further information
