I had been using Turbo Tax since 5 1/2 floppy disc days. Turbo Tax became so complicated and when their download process crashed in the middle of my download, I had to pay a second time to get the software. That year the software was riddled with errors, so many errors I had to consult with a tax specialist to muddle through the return. As a test, I purchased H&R software. It downloaded with no problems. The software lead me through the whole return without errors, bypassed several Forms Turbo Tax had filled out AND got me a better return. Unfortunately I had already filed with Turbo Tax. I’ve since used H&R with no regrets and a lot of respect for their easy to use software.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Was fairly easy to follow. I liked that it uploaded last years taxes, made it easier. Didn't mind paying a little extra for it to be directly sent to the IRS and state. Printed out easily. I'll probably use it next year. I just wished I could've gotten the great deal I got last year on Woot. But still a pretty good price.
