I used the program for years and find it to be excellent at accurately filing local, state and federal taxes. The federal and state e-file is very efficient and the user is notified when returns are accepted. No wondering whether or not certified mail actually got to the paper form there.Very easy to follow interviews are provided as well. The only criticism I have is that the interface has not been upgraded to include changing the magnification within the software. Some of the text is very small on today's monitors forcing the user to reset the resolution on their monitor in order to easily read. Just that one modification would make the software perfect for those who would prefer a resident software rather than completing the entire process online.

I have used H&R Block @Home for many years, but I have had occasion to open previous years returns, after the PDF bkups were lost. I want to know why I need to have the same year's program in order to open to original file. Each year's software edition should be able to open any year's return. I can't be expected to keep each tears copy of the program, just-in-case.
