Been using this software since it originated as "Taxcut" great stuff, makes it easy, just plug in the data, it thinks, and eliminates errors.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have used this software for years. This year for 2024 it did a horrible job of dealing with IRA Rollover and IRA Required Minimum Distributions. Questions did not apply to situations. Calculations were wrong and taxes kept being reported in error on the return. I had to do a lot by hand to keep trying to get the software to report distributions correctly.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using HRBlocks Deluxe with State software for many years and am quite happy with its ease of use.
Unfortunately, I tried HRBlocks online program first and did not have the same success. I abandoned it in the end because it wouldn't let me see the completed forms until I paid. I was also surprised and dismayed that the final price would be much more than if I had ordered my normal Deluxe software. I hope that you do not discontinue the regular HRBlock Deluxe with State package in place of the online version

If a person is taking a strander dediction, there should be an easier way to go through this form. Also, I entered a couple of entries on the Fed form which caused an error. I doubled check the numbers and they were correct. (Fed & state emplyor ID number) Thanks

I'd like to see the various modules be ready sooner. It is now two weeks away from Tax Day and the interview for Estimated Taxes is not yet finished.
I'd also like to be able to kill forms that no longer apply without having to go through the attendant interview.
