The interview is just not perfect, and it should be. One example. I had several stock sales reported to me on a 1099 Composite. One of the sales was "Not reported to the IRS" and I was to "Report on Form 8949, Part II, with Box F checked." The interview did NOT let me do that, and I could not check Box F manually without preventing efile. I finally found that there was a place later in the interview that allowed me to report such a sale. Why should I expect that sale to be entered in a different place than the other sales?? I should NOT! There are other examples in which the interview is just not as good as it should be.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
