Had some real issues with IRA conversions to a Roth The program wouldn't count it is income and had to start totally over several times before it was correct.

Federal program worked terrific. PA state program failed to correctly handle contributions to 401k. Contributions to a 401k are taxable in PA in the year that they are made. For the purpose of PA income they need to be included even though they are tax exempt on your federal return.
