There were unnecessary pages.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue I entered something for veteran offset. I did not, but since there were pages that should have been removed, but couldn't be or the files wouldn't send, it somehow entered data where is shouldn't have.
As a result, they removed what was there and reduced my refund amount.

It would be a good idea for H&R Block to contact that entity and discuss what happened.
Then it would be a good idea to reimburse the amount to me. (That would be along with any others this happened to along the way.)

I reached out to tell you your software was faulty, and got less than a sterling reply. Shortly, there was another update, and surprise, surprise, the fault was fixed. No apology from your side, just marched on. YOU SHOULD HAVE RE-CONTACTED ME TO APOLOGIZE for finding a serious misstep in your calculations. As usual the software was easy to navigate and got me to the end, but when I asked your drone about indemifying me against a fault easily researched in IRS INFORMATION, I was blown off. How about a free 2025 version?

Did not deliver the expected refund this year. The only reason I receive a refund is because I allow a voluntary withholding each year. In all previous years I got the full amount back. This year only about five eighths returned. I used Deluxe no state version reporting on 1040 SR. When I entered my Social Security information it revealed a refund amount and later when I took the standard deduction no change in refund occurred. I reworked the return three times importing and not importing 2023 and stock market financials. All four trials resulted in the same refund. i filed the last attempt which was a clean manual input. My overall financial condition did not change much. This year i had more interest and dividends. I did not sell any mutual fund, but the managed mutual funds must have but that never made any difference in the past. I have been using the HR BLOCK software for several years and it worked perfectly in the past. This year, I have no confidence in the accuracy.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
