I bought 2024 Deluxe + California State Software. The federal program was excellent - very helpful. But the California State software was disappointing and confusing. I was periodically presented with representations of actual California tax forms. But it was not clear if this was for information or for action. If for action: there was no guidance. And I never discovered any place to enter California Municipal Fund Tax Exempt Interest Dividends.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've been using H&R Block Deluxe for years. Great product. A few times, I've had some issues during the Acuracy Review step... once because support for a form wasn't available yet and another time because I didn't answer a question properly. But absolutely no problems this tax year and it was complex, with a house sale and many other financial transactions.

Besides the fact that I am paying more, the software would not load on my operating system as it has for years. In order for me to use it, I would have to update my operating software for which I do not want to do given my potential loss of other software and disk space.
