It mostly works, but every year there are a lot of little things that it does that cost a lot of time. Information that it already knows but doesn't transfer to other places where it's needed, things that show up in the accuracy review that should be taken care of a lot earlier and that are presented without enough context to easily figure out what's needed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pretty straight forward to use, if one knows the basics of filing tax returns.
It seems like bank route number and account number can't be directly added to the tax forms, either federal or state. When people print out the tax forms, they want the bank info shown on the forms, instead of XXXXXX...
Hopefully it will be resolved next year.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
