The problem that I had, on multiple occasions, was that the program did not save data that it had previously requested and that I had entered. This was infuriating! I figured out that after each bit of data was entered, if I hit SAVE, the data was not lost and be required to be re-entered.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have used both TurboTax and HR Block Deluxe. We switched from TurboTax to HRB because HRB did a much better job of handling our foreign tax credits and large charitable donations. HRB, just this year, failed to import our Schwab 1099s and neither telephone nor on-line help was of any assistance. We entered the data by hand. Also, HRB initially used the standard deduction rather than our much larger itemized deduction. We finally fixed that issue by going to the Schedule A form directly.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents

Thank you for your excellent tax preparation application. Most questions and directions were worded so as to be unambiguous. A few, however, were clear only by moving on to subsequent screens. I am sorry I don't remember which questions or instructions gave me pause. Next year I will make note of them as I encounter them so I will be able to be specific. One of the sections that caused concern was the penalty for insufficient payment of taxes. The first time through it, a penalty was indicated. I don't know what I did or how I answered such that the next time (I went back to the beginning of the section and worked through it again) I was told that the penalty had been waived.
Disappointed I could not import from Wells Fargo Advisors.
