The software is OK. Except it wouldn't electronically file my return. The support is nonexistent and the AI is useless. After 22 years, I'll be using a different software next year..

I used to run last years tax program side by side with this years and found it’s easy to complete the taxes using that procedure. However, this time I was unable to run the 2 programs side by side and that was very annoying. Please explain why that happened.

The product is acceptable but it has some quirks that drive me crazy! Example: when the Final Accuracy Review shows some data points that must be corrected, the program should take me to the original form where the data was entered instead of asking me to change it in a worksheet that I have not seen previously. I try to change it in the worksheet but sometimes a warning comes up telling me not to change data there. This makes no sense. Also, I would love to see the calculations that underlie the tax totals. Telling me that the totals are correct does not help me when I want to plan for next year - seeing how the totals are arrived at lets me make better decisions on investment gains and losses in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Circumstances this year forced me to ask for an extension. It seemed the program asked for more information then is required for an extension.
