I've used this product for years and you would think at some point when it "imports" data from last year's return it wouldn't need to ask so many questions about info that should have been imported. I also think it would be helpful to have fields/entries display what you had entered in the previous years - quit making me sort thru 91 pages of a pdf of last year's return to see if I can find a mini-worksheet that corresponds to the page I'm trying to fill out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well, the first thing they need to fix is updating from within the program on the Mac hasn't worked for several years. Beyond that, if you don't follow the exact ordering, it's often hard to find the exact place to go enter data. Also, a competitor allowed you to mark a value as "estimated", so you could make progress but would be prompted to fix the estimated value during review.

I've used HRBlock software for years but needs a few changes. It doesn't always carry your previous AGI from last year. It treats Gambling casino winnings as lottery in Indiana state software and raised a red flag. It doesn't ask you what your IRS pin is or remind you of needing it once you start using it.
