Program worked well until I sent my state e file tax... and it made me pay to e file and I bought the deluxe plus state.. so next year I will probably change.. ps I couldn't get help

While the software is easy to follow, there are some quarks in the system that seem to give me some problems each year due to income coming from two states. I shouldn't have to manually enter anything into forms after the fact. Also, when filing for two states, you can only e-file one of the states, so you have to print off the forms and mail in. Finally, this is the first time I've had to do an amended return and this was more complicated than it should have been. Why should I have to print off the original return and then enter the AGI and withholding amounts into the forms to make the final calculations? Those numbers are all already in the system. I work with computers, excel, and numbers every day. I don't think most of the people I know would have been able to follow the steps to complete an amended return.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used this software for close to 10 years. I find it to be accurate and relatively easy to use. The only downside (for me) is navigating the software. As you proceed through the pages returning back to a specific section short of back paging a page at a time can be challenging.

Doing taxes was easy using H&R Block software. My only problem was getting them filed with State of NE because of investments. This has happened the last two years. Would love to have NE work this out with Block. Love the ease of using this program.
