I’ve been buying your software since it was TaxCut and have been very happy. I haven’t had problems with HRBlock until these past two years. I buy Deluxe Fed plus State. For 2023 and 2024 when I completed Fed and tried to move on to State, the state software was there (I was prompted to buy it). Solving this problem required phone calls and lots of explaining. I’d encourage you to solve this problem before next year.

Cons: Hard to prepare

This year is first time I could not electronically file Wisconsin return as the system seemed to have a glitch saying that because I was over 62 years of age, I should have social security income and I did not. I tried to clear this point but could not. Was forced to paper file but have a large refund due.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare

I have used this product for years. My wife passed away last February. The program would let me e file the federal but not the state. I had to print it and paper file because of my deceased wife. That was a pain.

Easy to use!

I have been using H&R Block software several years and it is very easy to use, asks you every possible question, and if in doubt about whether you have those deductions, etc. just put a check mark and when they ask you you can check very easily to see if you have those papers.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

The software didn't provide clear instructions how to enter NM State Solar Certificate credit nor how to complete the TRD-41406 (& it didn't have an electric copy of this form in the tax software). Mainly since I wasn't sure if the Federal and NM state solar info was inputted correctly, I paid someone to do my taxes this year. I was able to use the software to do & submit my son's federal and state taxes without any issues.
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Efficient process, pretty easy to follow procedure

Pretty user friendly interface, easy to save and revisit for later review. Simple e-file & status check process. The only concern I have is that I have included all necessary documents. I am not sure how the software could address that as it does list many if not all necessary entries, while not forcing me to go through every single one manually.
