Product works well but am disappointed that easy mistakes are not flagged by it. For example I forgot to click both dependents (only clicked one) and there was no catch in the software to spot this obvious mistake.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I have been using the deluxe software for more than ten years. It was easy to fill out. When I had questions, the software gave me not only a simple explanation but I could view what the form referenced. It found more items to increase my return than one of the other tax software on the market.

Gets the job done

I have used this product for several years. Overall it does an acceptable job. I have one major criticism. There is no utility in the program to do a simple print screen. I don't mean print a page from the 1040 tax return. I mean just any screen that I my be looking at. There is no way to print any screen. Very annoying.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using HR Block Software for my taxes since its inception. It is easy to use and quickly walks you through the tax process. The Donation software is great, but I wish it had a feature to enter the next year donations throughout the year as you donate. This is the most labor-intensive part of the program and having it completed for download into the new tax season would be a great feature.

Not 5 stars due to a confusing sequence of questions I shouldn’t have had to encounter. when I told the interview that I had received MORE than my required RMD for my Thrift Savings Plan distribution for 2024, it still forced me through confusing questions about payments during the “grace period window” which were confusing because I didn’t have to make any of those payments since my RMD was fully satisfied long before the end of the year. I hadn’t had to go through that confusion for the 2023 or any prior year, so why did it take me down a bunny trail for 2024?

I bought software as I have for more than 10 years. I found last year that I couldn't electronically file as I had some complications with a K1 and filed on paper. This year I tried to file electronically but got rejected by IRS and the software couldn't tell me what to correct so they would accept. They kept having me go to the IRS to tell me specifically why. I ended up filing on paper again. Will I purchase next year????? I like the idea that one can change entries to determine best path to complete.
