The software works fine. Why do you charge an additional fee for e-filing the state tax forms? Several years ago your federal+state package included free filing for both the federal and state forms. Please consider offering that full package again.

I specifically ordered federal only because I can e-file with my state directly for free. The software had all I needed to successfully complete my federal taxes. The software download method this year was annoying but worked out okay. Updates require that a VPN be disabled; or a passthrough setting.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I finished doing my taxes and e-filed. H& R Block did not issue any warnings before filing. H & R Block has a box that only allows 5 digits for IRS pin#. IRS had issued me a 6 digit pin. I filled in 5 of the 6 digits that the program would allow, and transmitted. I was going to get something like $1286. Obviously the return was rejected. Going over the correction steps, this time I was allowed to type in all 6 digits. However, H&R Block had found 3-4 issues to be resolved! I navigated to the issues one by one, did not make any changes because they were not clear enough to me. In the process of clicking on issues, my refund dropped by some $320.00
I must also add that before the 1st transmittal H & R B did not run a final check as it had done for 2023 tax return.
