Deluxe version would NOT DOWNLOAD my data from a single brokerage where I had 2 accounts, so I had to enter all the data manually. Mid-year 2024, the brokerage cfreated a 2nd account after a scam to my account, changing numbers and transferring holdings to a new 2nd account. HR Block Deluxe could not apparently handle 2 1099 forms from this brokerage ... did not even try to download even one of the 1099 forms. So much for paying for "ease of use", huh? Not sure what your software saw impossible, so I just downloaded the data and did a bunch of typing.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

After done with all the forms, the program finds problem with clothing donations and would not electronically file the form until the problem is fixed. No hints or clue about how to solve the problems. Not sure why this problem was not mentioned earlier!!!!
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
