Good for simple tax; not good for complex returns

No Form 8833 in the software
Returns with 8938 cannot be efiled
Should be able to recommend best depreciation method
Many descriptions are unclear. I needed to resort to the IRS form guidance on multiple occasions and even had to lookup definitions of terms used by the IRS for clarity. Good software should be able to help with all this.

I have been using HRB software for many, many, years. This is the first time that the software would not load my previous year's information!!! Thus, causing me to input numerous amounts of info (8606 info, Capital gain carryover, names, address, soc sec #'s, birthdates and info from recurring W-2, 1099-R, 1099-Int, etc. A real pain to have to do this.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hidden fees when submitting state return online

I bought the deluxe version to be able to do the state return as well but when submitting the return online I was charged a fee again to submit the state return electronically
