Potential CT-1040NY/PY and 1040ME Part Year Bugs

Product has some bugs in it that required overrides with Forms. 1. CT-1040NR/PY line 4 and Schedule 1 line 50b do not use worksheet required by Conn. Inst., p. 28, for high income retirees. 2. Entries made in income allocation questions do not flow to CT-1040AW lines 3 and 13 and there is no income allocation question for CT-1040AW line 8, resulting in incorrect results in 15 and 30 and Schedule CT-SI lines 3, 8 and 13. 3. The Maine Worksheet for the Pension Income Deduction on p. 2 of Form ME Schedule 1S does not include amount from Federal 1040 line 4b as required by the inst. on the schedule. 4. Maine form 1040ME Schedule NR line 5a does not allow entry of description or amount of non-Maine adjustments from ME 1040 Schedule 1A and line 5b does not allow modification of description of default amount of non-Maine adjustments from Maine 1040ME Schedule 1S and the default amount, full year taxable Social Security, is incorrect—the correct amount should be just the non-Maine portion. Fortunately, a very friendly and helpful support rep. showed me how these errors could be fixed using the product's Forms command. I have used H&R Block desktop for many years and will continue to do so in the future.

I am generally satisfied with the product, but there are a couple of changes I think would make the product better. A clearer description of the section pertaining to healthcare costs or additional links that would help us better understand how to fill out this section. Free electronic state tax filings.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Consistent good product, have used for over 20 years . First problem was this year the software missed a required edit in my Indiana return and had to contact help Center to identify the cause.

Why do you l connect to a service to charge tax due that charges 2.49% when if I go to IRS website it only charges 1.75% and I get 2% back on my card?
