I have used TaxCut for many years. It is a very effective and accurate tax program. It is good at handling new situations that I do not fully understand. The options to print and e-file as well as e-file my state return are very helpful.

The most frustrating part of using this product is the section on sales of stock. I tend to have a lot of small transactions (for various reasons) and the verification is very cumbersome and error prone. The worst part is that accidentally hitting the Delete button for a transaction is too easy, and I have not found a way to recover from that. Also, if I must confirm each transaction individually, please at least scroll back to where I was in the list after each verification so that I don't need to manually scroll to where I was in the list each time.

The fed product seems to have worked OK. However, the Alabama state form Schedule RS and Schedule RS work sheet have problems that required me over writting data and thus preventing e-filing the state. This is the SECOND YEAR I've had this problem. It will be my last.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
