Kept dumping me into confusing forms for very simple things; kept flagging things that it should have handled itself. Importing my W2 from a scan had errors that resulted in the IRS rejecting my taxes. My taxes aren't complicated: A W2, sold some stock, and had an FSA for childcare.
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been an H & R Block user for several years. There have been a few Glitches along thew way but I have fould it to one of the best TAX programs around. Thanks for the continued support.

have been using it for several years and find it fairly easy to use, especially since the format remains consistent from year to year. I also like the fact that I can bring last years return data that doesn't change from year to year into current year return.

I have used this tax software for several years, and it works well.
But the State software refers to required Federal forms, but not which ones.
This year the State software made it difficult to select the "married-filing-separately" on same form option.

I used the product was good until I went to file would only let me file fed. Then I tried to file state when I tried to file it dumped it me teck support spent an hr. With mre until it took could not k status on them .all went thru got my refunds will use program next year

Easy to use. I would suggest that you might want to add a line of text at the point when submission of the Federal and State filings are to be selected. Specifically, suggesting that it may be easier to submit the Federal first, wait for it to be accepted and then submit the State. I say this because I made a simple error that passed your review on the Federal which caused it to be rejected by the Feds. Because I had submitted the State at that same time it also got rejected even though the error on the Federal was not impacting that return. The follow up materials you supplied at that point enabled me to correct the Federal , but the error sheet you provided for the State was blank - somewhat confusing. It then took about 3 days for the credit card charges to clear out. Not a huge deal, and next year I will do them separately, but maybe this would help someone else avoid the minor aggravation I had.

I have been using H&R Block software on Mac for more than 20 years. For the 2024 version on MacOS (Sequoia) 15.x and above, users beware.
The software is unable to update, including when adding a purchasing a state. This results in repeatedly prompting the user to buy the state, even when the package includes a free state module. The workaround that I ended up using involved resorting to a different Mac running older MacOS (Mojave?), which the H&R Software warned repeatedly that it doesn't support. I urge H&R Block software team to quickly issue a fix for it.
Until then, I cannot recommend it to Mac users.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
