I've been using H&R for my taxes for years, am a big fan. This year the accuracy review flagged a Data Verification because I am over 62 but didn't report about Social Security income. It doesn't let me clear the data verification right there by overtyping a zero in line C. The Data Verification doesn't seem to prevent me from e-filing, but it would be nice be able to clear it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Ok for a very simple return. Calls itself “Deluxe”

Price was right and included a free US return. There was a charge for a state return even though Illinois has their own free internet return. The help feature was no help, could not answer a question about Grantor Trust letters. Kept responding that it was an IRS letter.

Double charge to submit state form. Need to refund
on March 30, 2025

At time to submit my tax form to the state and pay, the program asked for my credit card information and made the charge; next it updated the Block program and then made me input my credit card to pay to submit the form to state. My credit card shows 2 charges but I only submitted one form.
