Software is easy to use and does a good job guiding you through the tax maze. I did encounter a problem after finishing the Federal component and had the option to purchase and download the state module. After entering my credit card information to download the state option, a window popped up indicating a new update to Federal taxes was ready for download, but it entered this endless loop where it wouldn't download the updates. I had to cancel, then tried starting again by entering credit card info for state taxes, but the problem persisted. Long story short, my credit card was charged 4 times for the state module. I finally resolved the issue by restarting my computer.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

Frustrating oversights. Missing forms seemingly at random, and has unhelpful errors when trying to import capital gains info from Betterment. Had to jump to excel, calculate things myself, and hope I'm filling things out right.

The software is relatively simple to use and guides you through the process. It can directly import financial data which makes the task of filing less onerous. A drawback for me is the price you paid isn't truly the full cost of the software. If you want to file to the state electronically, there is an extra fee involved. I don't know why this is but it is annoying
