The product version did not include one state return. I did not realize and was not happy about that since, in the past a state return was included without additional purchase fee.

As usual, the procedure went smoothly. My only problem was the limited number of lines to record charitable donations. I had to combine several into groups. Suggest providing options to add lines as needed.

I had several problems this year that I never had in the past. The software would never update automatically, I had to go online and download the updater manually every time. When I got to the state portion, I couldn’t use it because it was trying to make me pay even though I bought the Deluxe + State version. I had to call support to resolve it. Then when I filed, somehow my IRS PIN from last year was in the field and it was rejected. So I reopened my return and changed the PIN to the current one and sent it again. Rejected again because even though I just entered the correct PIN, it sent the old one again. So I opened the return again, filled out the PIN. Then quit and saved. That seemed to make it stick and the third submission was accepted.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!
