The fed plus state was ok. Pretty self explanatory. I think it is over priced. And then charging on top of one state for efile. Meh.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

I have used H&R Block for many years and have always appreciated how easy it was to use and understand. This year, for the first time I had figure out quarterly payments. For me it was confusing and required a lot of work. Maybe the program could ask to estimate the percentage of increase for the next year and then calculate the quarterly payments for that year.

Fix being able to import a 1099R PDF . Your Deluxe will not let you import the 1099R as a PDF

It got the job done at a low cost. The platform feels tired and not always user friendly. When the program hiccups, you need to go and delete a form and redo the whole section. That happened to me with the home energy credit. The choices out there aren’t great, but this is a competent product.
