It was easy with the exception of the RMD part. The system said that I should calculate the RMD, but doesn't tell you how.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Every year, the software last or near to last steps of data accuracy is hard to understand what to do to go to the next step. If I delete that page, it pops back up as an error again. Try give a line or two what my options are to move on and submit.

Cons: Hard to prepare

Overall the program works great. Easy to navigate and put in the information needed. One area is Not good and that is the planning section. I have had to use my 1040 to get any idea of what to set up for estimated taxes for the past two years. Used the forms mailed to me by IRS to confirm. Planning used to work well but starting last year it is nothing but frustrating. You need to fix it please.

State return had to be sent by mail as software could not support available credit. Found it difficult to file state manually and federal electronically.

Not impressed because my financial institution was not on the list, so I had to enter 1099 information manually. And, I bought Deluxe + State but was unable to e-file CA return because I had state real estate withholding from a 2016 installment sale. If I should have chosen Premier + State, that was not made clear on the box. I have been a long-term user of the other major tax prep software, but wanted to try HR Block to compare.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
