The program itself is super confusing with the multiple times you have to enter the information and the wording of the questions. It’s not the most user friendly system I’ve used. I don’t want to have to use a CPA yet you have to be one to know where and how to enter the information correctly.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used the software download version of the Income Tax program for a number of years and have never encountered any issues.
The software leads you thru the process and in the case where you may or may not be eligible for a deduction or exemption, it fills out the mini worksheet to determine your eligibility. Performing this action manually with paper and pencil, trying to follow the complicated IRS rules, would be hopeless. The software performs the tasks for you.
If you use the software year after year, it imports your data from previous years making the upfront preparation much easier and quicker. Plus the completed returns can be stored for years as required by the IRS.
The only dilemma I have is whether to download the software and store the records on my computer or complete the return online with the data out in the cloud somewhere.
