I have been using this program for many years and I have to say, this is the first year I was not totally pleased with the program. The issue I had this year had to do with some boxes being checked in the interview process that I either checked inadvertently or the program thought I should check do to a certain situation such as my age etc. When I realized this error, I simply tried unchecking these boxes but the program would not allow it. This was very frustrating when I went through the final check and could not clear these conditions in the data verification. There appeared to be an option to delete the unnecessary forms but even that didn't work. Perhaps the program has always been like this but this is the first time I encountered these issues. Needless to say, my return probably has some useless forms attached that I hope to cause a red flag with the IRS.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used this product over 30 years and have confidence that it will correctly compute my taxes. I did, however, have one issue this year that forced me to submit a paper return. I mistakenly said I had a PIN assigned by the IRS when I had only a PIN that I assigned with my 2023 return. My initial submission rejected saying the PIN was incorrect. I realized my error, went back and removed the PIN, but resubmitting the return still came back saying the PIN was incorrect when there was no PIN listed on the return. Three more failed attempts and I finally had to print the return and mail it.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

I have used this product for years. The weakest function is the wrap up after filing. The process of printing, making backups....etc needs to be clarified.

I continue to select this product for completing my annual tax return. Installing updates are still cumbersome on an iMAC. They just don't get around to making it like a PC installation. Even a simpler link would help.
