I always buy this product and have had good success. However, because of a small error, I had to submit my form twice, each time paying the California State form charge. Why did you charge my card twice? When am I going to get a refund for one charge?

Mac version is a bit clunky but got the job done.

Compared to the visuals and on-screen button-clicking of TurboTax, the Mac version was disappointing. The app defaluts to a smallish window with smallish fonts. Both should be larger to make the experience friendlier. The most difficult thing was clicking the button to submit information and continue. There are very small screen areas that work, making it necessary to click multiple times until it works. The app also sometimes ask for information to be re-entered. Worst, the app had trouble recognizing some data from PDFs of W-2 and 1099 forms. This added time to what could have been a quicker experience. Finally, the purchase price did not include the processing plus tax for my state form. This unexpected cost eroded any savings I expected to realize compared to Turbo Tax.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using Block for decades. Each year you get better and better. I e-file my state also. Within minutes it is finished.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
