I have used Block tax software for many, many years and found it to be easy except for one thing. When I get to state return, I have difficulty remembering how to enter dividends from US obligations. After research and searching my federal return I eventually remember that the answer is hidden in my federal return. You can improve that.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

This year in addition to an RMD withdrawal, I had two regular withdrawals from my Deferred Comp Plan. My 1099-R did not make a distinction as to the type of withdrawal. Your instruction regarding Excess Accumulation was unclear and proceeding through the interview was confusing. It seemed as if I had to do Form 4972. The IRS instructions made it clear that I didn't have to,

I'm still having problems with this program because I'm trying to efile a return and its being rejected saying the pin used doesn't match last year's pin which is impossible because that person has paid last 5 years therefore didn't use a pin last year to match. Very upset with this program

I've used the software for years thinking if I ever needed help with my taxes it was just a message away. Well I finally needed help and when I asked for it I was told that was not part of the service I had purchased. What part of help was the add talking about if not help with my taxes? This is the last straw and I will not be using this program again.

This is a very precise and professional products I am using for a couple of decades. Amazing H&R legal support. I would recommend next year to the developer of this software to put more in evidence the ID PIN feature. The PIN changes every year. It was hidden and it kept the value from last year, so the first attempt to filing with the wring ID PIN failed.

Good software, but a big change for 1st time user.

The software worked for me, but was quite different to use than the overpriced competitor, Turbotax, that I have used for many years.
I had one major problem in that I could not download data from my financial institutions until I found the authorization check box far down the page, below a large blank space.
I do plan on using it again next year.
