This software is not user friendly and difficult to use. I only continue to use because my prior years’ returns were prepared with this software. I had problems with electronic filing. The application is not easy to transition between different sections. I really dislike this software.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used H&R Block tax software for many years (except last year when I had sold a house and had complicated capital gains calculations). Overall I like the package, which is why I've stuck to them for such a long time.
That being said, there is always room for improvement. I sometimes find the software awkward to maneuver to specific spots and can be a bit clumsy to get about. But nothing that prevented me from continuing to use it.

I have always used Turb*Ta* and first time using this reason being it was less expensive. Its different in both good and bad. Was good that it was able to pull my data from previous year from TT, but I feel the interface is less intuitive especially when there are issues to correct. TT has it beat with this as it is more descriptive on what to change where as H&R just said there is an issue with 'x' but didn't really explain it well. Overall it was a good experience - not great, but then again is doing taxes ever really fun?
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
