Good means to aid tax return preparation and filin

I have used this software for years because it is relatively efficient at helping organize and enter the necessary information to complete the tax filing. However there are two big improvements that would bring it up to 5 stars for me. First, I was excited to see the automated information entry from my downloaded PDF tax form files. Unfortunately, it totally mishandled the first file I tried, resulting in corrections I needed to make that exceeded the effort of just entering the data by hand. The second involve its handling of the K-1 forms for securities involving limited partnerships, especially in tax advantaged accounts. It appeared worse this year at handling this in my IRA than last year. I am not confident that is gave me the deserved break that it provided last year. Perhaps the rules changed, but its handling was far less straightforward.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Best features: copy from prior year, audit before file, filing for ext and transition from ext to final filing.
I would like to have the explanations continue to grow, perhaps add links to specific irs.gov documentation for further detail on some topics.
Would like to see if MacOS version has improved since last time I tried it in 2010.

In general it's good. It is however clumsy for investments in CDOs and other investments with OID, and Market discount. In particular the adjustment for MD is enter as a negative, but an OID Bond with MD is entered as a positive. You do not find the out until you e-file. A few additional instructions please!

There are aspects of the functionality and reporting I find difficult to understand. Being able to after-the-fact print the local tax form, the CLG... - took me a good 15 minutes to figure out how to locate and subsequently print, because it is not listed as a "form". Why?

I purchase product every year and was happy with it. This year there were forms I needed that was not available, deduction section wouldn’t load many items, and for filing the title instructions page where to mail state taxes was wrong causing my taxes to be returned by the post office.
