I bought this earlier in the year and added the premium package in March. It lead me through my tax return by asking multiple questions to determine what I needed to include on the return. It was very straight forward and explained all the areas of the forms.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

I've used H & R for years, always with good results. The Interview results sometimes miss issues but can be corrected by inputting data directly. I would like to add or have alongside a copy of the real form( the one that goes to IRS) as a check without having to branch out to forms. But I will remain a user of H&R Block.

Good software, but doesn't answer all questions

Good and easy to use for basic situations, but for less common situations or when I have a question about certain forms, there weren't always explanations. But this does make doing our taxes faster and easier than doing it manually. Although it includes 5 free federal filings, it would be better if electronic state filings were also free.

It can use some improvements. make is easier to review the forms. I didn't see anything that shows where if you have oil and gas royalites.
