We've used H&R Block software for many years and preferred it over other similar software. It has a good user interface and is easy to follow. It also has good help features.
One area of improvement is there are areas of the UI where the font is rather small and it can't be enlarged so it's sometimes hard to read. Also, it would be nice to be able to change the position of the frames or even choose the frames that you're viewing. Being able to customize the interface a bit would be very helpful.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to use poor transition to the pay taxes porta

Easy down load, easy to understand and use. The transition to pay your taxes portal is difficult. I had to ask the program to help me find that portal. Seems like it would launch you to that area. Will buy it again next year.

Cons: Hard to import documents

Have been using for nearly two decades. Product seems to be getting worse.
Retired and rolled over my 401k, creating a (15 year total) 1099R greater than my annual W-2. For that reason, or so the program said, it would not let me file state due. Had to go onto state website and manually enter same data, but without the complication.
Big program, difficult to navigate, not helpful, constantly trying to sell you something.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
