Have been an H&R user for years, easy to use. BUT big price increase for 2024! Also decided to pay extra for state, BUT then wanted $$$ to file it!!! Did free online for state instead.

Having used TurboTax in the past, I find the H&R Block interface a little less polished, and not quite as easy to bounce between the guided view and the forms view
Cons: Hard to import documents

This software is utter garbage, but unfortunately the duopoly means you have a choice between this garbage and different garbage. For almost 10 years now this garbage has suffered from this ridiculous bug on Macs where you can't install an update because of an infinite loop where it keeps re-prompting to install an installed update. If you purchase a state it doesn't recognize it unless you manually install it from some system folder.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Once again I was tricked by the false advertising. There is no "State" included with Deluxe + State + Efile. I don't recommend this product to anyone
