Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

While the program gives you a systematic process by which to complete a fairly standard 1040 tax return, the need to cover all possible options makes the process cumbersome and exhausting.

I’ve used this product for many years. I know the methodology well enough to feel comfortable with it. It is reliable but I’m dependent on it doing it correctly as I no longer have any control of the process, as I did when I was doing it myself. If mistakes are made, I would be less likely to catch them.
The one thing that would be beneficial is a flow chart one could generate prior to going through the process, where you could add things that were different in the year you were submitting from prior years and understand where they get addressed in the linear process.
Pros: Easy to prepare
