We've used H&R Block Tax Software for years. Up until now we printed and filed paper returns. This year is the first time we e-filed and it was easy to use and we knew in minutes when the return was accepted. From now on we will file electronically.

I will not by this product again. I found an error in the state software for 2024. I detected only because I have a tax background. It still took my hours of extra work, time to verify my detection was correct. After reviewing the state and Fed forms for a credit, i saw the slight difference in forms where it was just calculated differently with the math. The HR block version for the state forms just stated it all the same as Federal. I spent hours trying to communicate with an IT bot/chat and got nowhere. I finally found out how to override a row entry item but then was told I could not file the state electronically due to this. If one is going to pay for the software, one expects an accurate software application, and it was not. It will be manual taxes next year for me or Turbo Tax.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good tax software, but can use a few more tweaks to make it more user friendly and to better explain some of the more detailed taxes

Software worked fine for both my Federal and State returns. Data entry is pretty straightforward. It even included Schedule C for my small business income. Price was very reasonable compared to other tax software packages.
