I have been using H & R Block for 10 years or more. It has always been easy to use. I had a chance to help a young friend file her return this year. She was using Turbo Tax and my opinion is that H # R Block software is significantly better organized and much simplier to navigate than Turbo Tax.

Good for basics, clumsy for K1s. Dated interface

I've used HRBlock deluxe for ~20 years. It works well for basic returns, including investments. It supports K-1s as well (form 1065), but the interview questions are confusing and make it more difficult than using IRS forms directly. Help / FAQs are not useful. I had several K1s this year (MLPs), and it took some trial & error to figure out what HRB questions were referring to. I will probably try Quicken next year
User interface looks dated, looks like something from 30 years ago. Not a huge problem, but could use a facelift
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
