I thought the price was higher than it shold be for this relatively basic version. The interview process was not very flexible when I wanted to make some changes in what I entered initially ...I had to manually find the worksheets to change entries.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used this product for years. A couple of critiques...when it saves it always make me nervous, am I not saving any of it when I select don't save...who would ever want to redo a return??? And I do not like the "errors", always allow me the option to correct them in those boxes you say are "errors", often there are errors (or you say there is) and I cannot correct them or tell the program there just isn't any information from the source document. And make a simple option to print the return and only the return. Sometimes I just want THE RETURN.
Cons: Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

As you increase capability, you fall short in getting quickly to certain places in the dialog. There should be a pull down that lists specific dialogs like:
print my state return
print my federal return
print both
After we are done it is hard to get there.
Also if we subsequently done, it is hard to change and get to print for mailing. The dialogs trap the flow, and things are no longer presented. The goto does not always work, or there is no signature for that location.

been using for 15+ years. Not problem-free, but readily manageable. For instance, integration of state and federal isn't perfect (especially items deductible on federal but taxable on state), and handling of royalties under federal is unclear (easy to count royalties twice). but what is does is pretty clear, so such "errors" are readily caught. I'll keep using it.

It could not figure out FEIE (foreign earned income exclusion) by itself. After going over that part of the interview multiple times, I had to manually check Form 2555 and correct an input for the calculation to work. Also, why is there a 10 MB limit to upload PDFs? It's no longer 1993. Otherwise, it works.
