Buggy and clumsy in places, but basically works

Basically works, but quite clumsy in places. Donations of stock are a nightmare: none of the "type" options matches and one has to heavily abbreviate the one suggested by Vanguard. Then after doing the taxes one has to set a "property type" **directly in a form**, with no hints as to the correct value.
This year the program crashed repeatedly while trying to download a consolidated 1099-B. It finally worked, just as I was about to give up and ask for a refund. The ability to downlod 1099-B without giving sensitive information is a great feature, when it works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

H & R Block tax reporting software is an excellent product, well worth the reasonable price charged for it. Every step from automatically loading information from the prior year's return, to directing entries to complete the current year's info, is well designed and straightforward. Plus filing the return is quick and easy.

I called three 800 numbers off the website. Looking for my username and I have three people trying to sell me something and when I told them no thank you they all hung up on me. These are three numbers to call for help and I got hung up on three times because I went and buy a medical alert badge or another piece of garbage. This is the second year in a row that crap has happened. There won't be a third.
