CA state no health insurance process incorrect

I would have given 5 stars except for year 2025 the calculations for California no insurance is not what the state actually calculated. I was initially getting a refund until I entered the no health entry. HR software calculated the default penalty which matched the estimated California penalty web site. My refund was deducted from the penalty and that's what I submitted as owed for 2025. CA tax board deposited the payment. Subsequently I received a check from California refunding the original amount HR software calculated to be refunded as if I had not entered any no insurance penalty. Thus, the net result was a lesser penalty amount for no health insurance from California tax board than what the HR software calculated. Now I'm concerned if this net difference of actual state versus software calculated results will be reflected properly when importing 2025 tax file into 2026 tax for California.
I've been using HR Block Deluxe software for 12 years.
I would recommend this to a friend!
