The program is ok but not great. There was not much help for finding deductions or adjustments for single people paying way to much in taxes. Needs work on being user friendly

I always check with other tax software before I submit and Block always checks out the same with them. Just disappointed in only 10% more return this year

I have used hr block for many years federal program seems to check all the boxes. It is easy to understand and the program for the most part is user friendly. The state program is where they could do a better job. They overlook some key tax credits that can make a difference between making a payment or receiving a substantial state refund. If you override the program to incorporate such tax credits then your stuck mailing the return instead of efile.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
