I have used H&R Block software for many years now. It is easy to use. Doesn't cost a fortune and does a great job. It is great to have a easy program to insert your information in and the software does the rest. The best part is that when you are through, the program checks for errors then walks you through sending your return to the IRS and then has a seamless way of doing the state you are in.

I've used H&R Block (with state) for 20 years. The results are solid - I review the completed forms - and the price is always reasonable. It helps to download complex 1099s automatically and have everything fill into the right slots. The internal reviews have saved me from making some stupid errors.
Software like this is especially useful as my income changes over time. Nice to see where SSA income and other new streams should be handled by having it ask me and then spitting out the correct forms. Also useful in strategizing decisions for next year.
