Easy to use. But not as informative as TurboTax

I've used H&R Deluxe for the past 3 consecutive tax returns, and I'm mostly happy with the program. The program is easy to use and navigate, and it was mostly bug-free. Compared to TurboTax, my previous go-to tax software, H&R Deluxe does one thing not as good, and it's the informational pop-ups and descriptions. The writing could be more user-friendly toward less savvy tax filers, and have better scenario examples and more detailed and top-down information to help users understand the tax pictures better. I like that H&R Deluxe still makes it easy to file for Hobby Income, which is my first number reason I continue to use H&R Deluxe.
All in all, the Deluxe is a good program, and it has helped me to quickly and accurately perform my tax returns. Thanks, H&R!!

I have been a user of this product for the last several years and have always been very pleased with the ease and accuracy it has provided. I was a bit nervous this time around because the K-1 fixes were not completed until the last release. Better communication about the delay would have been more comforting. I would like a Linux version, and I would be happy to help you with the conversion.

I've been using H&Block tax software for so long I cannot remember. I have always thought it to be tops. This past year I had many trades. Even though the software directly downloaded my financials to HRBlock, the software wanted me to check every trade. This was insanely tedious as it seemed that the software was bogged down by the number of trades. Just waiting for the software to catch up to each entry was a 30 second pause, add the entry time and i was looking at 10 hours of verifying what was compiled and sent to me, my HRBlock software, and to the IRS. Seems like you can do much better than that.
