It does the job pretty well. This is around the 15th straight year I've used it, and the look-and-feel hasn't changed much. Main quibble is that in many places the font sizes are too small and need to be enlarged one size. Some of the fonts are ridiculously small considering all the blank space available. Remember it's a lot of older folks using this software, and a little font-size increase helps a lot with older eyes.

I am still not able to handle my Arkansas income tax exemption for retired military 1099. It told me I should be able to indicate this 1099 was for military retirement but that option was not there. Then I read that if I use this exemption I would lose the $6,000 deduction.

I had some questions about the 2025 tax return I completed. I went to Contact Us on Monday and left my phone number for a call back from a local agent. As of today, Thursday evening, I have not received a call back. The chatbot was not helpful. I ultimately consulted with AI and received excellent help. I have used this software for the last 16 years and I have a very simply tax situation. Typically, it takes me a couple hours to complete. This year it took me most of the day and still left me uncertain about some of the entries. I felt that there could have been much more explanation provided.
