Decent program, particularly if you are a multi-time user. Unfortunately, hyperlinks in parts of the program you may have questions about are nothing more than a link to a statement telling you to go to "IRS Publication XXXX" for further details. That's not exactly helpful, and begs the question of where the value for the purchase price is. As tax filers, we need accurate, specific answers.....not just links to government websites.
Pros: Easy to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Problems:
State - I was shocked to find after paying the extra for "H&R tax software with state" that I still had to pay more to file the state electronically.
Federal - The final checks kept telling me that I hadn't reviewed various stock sales that had been Imported to the tax software - even after I had checked them TWICE, had saved the data before going to the check, and even exited the software and reopened it. It still kept giving me errors on the same thing.
Federal - some items that it warns you about - after looking at it and even hitting Enter to clear the yellow. When you save and come back in it shows you the exact same warnings.
Federal - The final checks show things filled in that I didn't touch NOR was imported - YOUR software filled it in....This was something about I think IRA initial investment- had a "0" but the field said has to be 4 digits - however these are NOT the type of IRAs that I have so was N/A....I finally figured out to delete the 0.

Federal refund I received was $3500 more than expected or filed. Don't know why. I just filed what HR block calculated, including the OBBBA senior deduction. Fed didn't complain.

used for years, but this year nothing seems to work correctly. Data seems to change each time I go into app and now doesn't ptint what I want. And I show TWO pending charges for my state submission that I only submitted to ONE state return. Not a happy person
