Worked OK, but I should not have to dig into my 2024 return to determine a NYS underwithholding penalty- the program already imported that return, so it should have had that info already.

Last two tax years have left me less confident in this software. There were too many questions unanswered where I had to guess what to do.

Verified Purchase:Yes
Federal return section is good, but transporting Federal data to State needs improvement. US Government Agent bonds interests are excempt in most states, but is federal taxable. When entering 1099-INT there is no place for the user to specify the interest is US government Agent interest, therefore the amount is not deducted in the State return. Would be helpful to prompt the user to enter whether the interests are Agency Bond interest.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Easy to use and transfer year to year. I have it on the federal and state renewal plan. The problem is it charges to file the state. I don’t need 5 federal and no state if the product advertises federal and state.

I have been using the H&R Block tax program for years. I find it to be the best tax software available. However, I still find year in and year out that there is confusing terminology or explanations, either dealing with investment related subjects, or in some of the help section. I am not that familiar with a lot of that and kind of feel like it needs to be d
