Can't do math

I did two filings and in each filing, there was a math error in each.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using H&R Block software since it acquired Tax Cuts. Thinking it’s at least 20 to 25 years. I would say that continued use and longevity can only mean that I think the program is outstanding. No past audits or IRS adjustments.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Highly Satisfactory - and runs on a functional OS!

I had to buy this because the competition (turbot@x) had downgraded their software to only work with Windows 11 and I remained on the functional (upgrade) Windows 10... which H&R, thankfully, supported.
It works. It's not quite as smooth as turbot@x, but does all the important things such as importing bank tax forms. It also reminded me I had not entered my MRD payment amount, which turbot@x failed to do last year. The cleanup at the end turned up 206 items to be checked, which seems excessive, but they were almost all checking names of securities bought and sold. Submission online was easy, and my returns were accepted within the hour (four hours for the state return).
I'm very satisfied with this program.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

This current tax return was different in that the standard deduction has increased. However, one issue regarding contributions to a 401 K or 457 deferred compensation plans. They have increased the deductions to include persons over age 50 and catch up options for persons older. The software only ask if your deduction is <31,000 or > 31,000 when looking at the definitions available your software is incorrect.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare

2025 is the worst version I’ve seen:
1. App crashes on import of T Rowe Price and Vanguard 1099s. Had to enter manually
2. Federal efile got rejected immediately. Ingenious H&R suggestion is to review for any missing data, then print to mail !!!
3. Still waiting for patch to fix problem.
